Welcome to Assumption Catholic Church!

Our parish the heir to over 125 years of faith here in West. We are a parish desiring to nourish the Faith through building up the Kingdom in our community, unafraid to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ both individually and together.

As Pope-Emeritus Benedict XVI reminded us, “Our communities must not lack the knowledge that they are ‘Church’, because Christ, the eternal Word of the Father, convokes them and makes them his People. Indeed, on the one hand faith is a profoundly personal relationship with God but on the other it possesses an essential community component and the two dimensions are inseparable.”

To allow for our personal encounter and experience of the Lord to bear fruit in that communal dimension, I would like to invite you to join with us in three particular ways so that your gifts can strengthen our whole community:

• To join us for Mass, both throughout the week and on Sundays, to be nourished at the table of the Savior and to offer fitting worship to the God Who makes and cares for us.

• To participate some of the various liturgical, spiritual, and social ministries and groups of the parish, that the gifts given by the Spirit may be shared freely and widely for the benefit of all.

• To materially support the parish so that as we are enjoying the benefits of the generosity of those who have come before us, we might leave a worthy inheritance to those who will come afterwards. I ask you to prayerfully consider taking advantage of our online giving program.

Again, I would like to welcome you to our parish. To borrow once more from Pope-Emeritus Benedict XVI, “Dear brothers and sisters, the future of Christianity…also depends on the commitment and witness of each one of us.” I pray that our work together may bear abundant fruit in the Spirit.
